 Energy Audits
The energy conservation requirements for new low-rise residential buildings (under four stories in height) took effect on March 1, 1998. These requirements are based on the 1995 Model Energy Code (MEC), with Massachusetts-specific amendments.
We use REScheck (formerly MECcheck) software from the U.S. Department of Energy to ensure that you comply with the Massachusetts Energy Code, Model Energy Code (MEC), and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).
