LUMBER: Back to back weeks with two strong run ups in the market. Buyers jumped in with the realization that supply will be tight in the coming months due to mill closures and curtailments. On the eastern side we have mill holiday shutdowns for maintenance around the corner. This will be a bumpy ride through the summer until supply gets in check with true demand. PANEL: Panel prices stayed flat but typically they lag a bit behind dimension lumber. I look for changes in this market in the weeks to come. LUMBER: Well, what a difference a week makes. With what was hopefully the last of mill closings and curtailments the market responded by moving prices up in a defensive position. We will see where this all sorts out in the coming weeks if we determine what is the true supply and demand. Until then, I would be ready for anything. PANEL: Panel prices stayed flat but typically they lag a bit behind dimension lumber. I will look for changes in this market in the weeks to come. LUMBER: A much flatter market this week as only certain items came off a few dollars. This was much more encouraging to buyers as this may point to a bottom of the market. At this point the downside has to be minimal. PANEL: Panel prices saw some of the same dynamics as prices seemed to stop falling and flattened out a bit. A few more weeks is needed to see where this really goes. Paul Tarca Head of Purchasing Concord Lumber Corporation email@example.com

LUMBER: More give back in the market again this week. Even with announced shutdowns and curtailments, this did nothing to fuel any major buying. If this continues we could see eastern mills take their annual July shutdowns for maintenance in June. PANEL: Panel prices came off this week also pretty much for the same reasons. There just doesn't seem to be enough demand. Paul Tarca Head of Purchasing Concord Lumber Corporation firstname.lastname@example.org
